Lucia Engineering, Inc.

A graduate of the University of Santa Clara in 1979, with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Mr. Lucia started his career with Raisch Paving Company of San Jose, California and later DBM Contractors, of Federal Way, Washington. In 1992 he branched out on his own and started Lucia Engineering, Inc. Requests from many companies and owners, who he had worked with since leaving college, for assistance with their projects made it clear that there was ample work for an engineer with hands-on field experience and structural design expertise.

The vision of this firm is to provide engineering designs & solutions based off of years of hands-on field experience.

Lucia Engineering now boasts over 60 clients, many contractors, Cities, State Highway Departments, Utility Districts, and homeowners, many who have been with us for 20+ years.

We frequently team with The Crosby Group, a structural engineering firm out of San Mateo, California. The Crosby Group and Lucia Engineering share workloads and capitalize of our respective talents. Lucia Engineering specializes in earth retaining structures, difficult foundation structures and repairs to post-tensioned structures. We work with most of the drilling contractors in the greater Seattle area. Often these contractors bring to us difficult foundation issues which we are able to solve because of our familiarity with soils, pile & pin pile, soldier pile, micro-pile, & slope stability pile, etc.
